2000 -- Issue #129 "And
God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes: It was her way of reminding me. My wife and I had just finished the main portion of our meal. I laid my utensils on top of my plate and awaited the return of our waitress to take away the dishes. She
returned a short while later and gathered up the remains of our
course as my wife and I sipped our iced tea and talked
quietly to It was then that the waitress reminded me by saying... ..."Don't forget to hold on to your fork." You see, Paula and I had not yet had our dessert. By telling me, "Don't forget to hold on to your fork." our waitress was reminding me that something more was in store. Something sweet was awaiting us. It was her way of saying... ...better things are coming. You know,
sometimes, when I am a bit discouraged from the ..."Don't forget to hold on to your fork." "My child, something more is in store for you. There is something sweet that awaits you when this course is complete... ...better things are coming." And maybe, just maybe, my Christian friend, maybe today you are facing one of those days. Maybe the storms have rolled into your life and a struggle is at full strength. Perhaps you are facing a crisis or hardship that seems too much to bear and it seems there is no relief is in sight... ...be still. Sit quietly. Listen closely. And hear the Master say to your heart... ..."Don't forget to hold on to your fork...better things are coming."Have a "Wonderful DAY in Christ," Jimmy D. Brown \o/ Praise Jesus! |
