SUNDAY IS COMING

"And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes;
and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow,
nor crying,  neither shall there be any more pain:
for the former things  are passed away."
- Revelation 21:4

It was a dark and gloomy Friday.

Things seemed like they just couldn't get any worse.  It  was as if a grenade had erupted in their lives and rocked  their world.

He was dead.  Jesus was really dead.

The disciples must have been filled with utter confusion and disbelief.  What now?  The man they had dropped  everything in order to follow was gone.  Where would they  go?  What would they do?

Were their lives in danger, as well?

Somehow, in the midst of the turn of events, they had forgotten His words.  They had forgotten His promise...

...they had forgotten that Sunday was coming.

You see, Jesus had forewarned them about Friday,  about His betrayal and crucifixion.  But, more than that, He  had told them that in three days He would rise from the  dead.  Victory was on the way!  Triumph was just down the  road...

...Sunday was coming.

My friend, sometimes you and I, likewise, face dark and gloomy days.  Know what I mean?  Seems like things just  couldn't get worse.  Yep.  The grenade just exploded in  our faces.

Maybe it's an illness.  Maybe it's a relationship that's  falling apart.  Could be financial troubles, problems on the  job or any of a thousand things that makes us feel like the  sky is falling.  Sometimes just the pressures of everyday  life - the deadlines, the "things to do," the hectic pace, the  lack of time for yourself, the demands - seem to trap us in
a corner and leave us feeling discouraged, depressed and  defeated.

Have we forgotten the words of Jesus?  Have we forgotten His promises?  Be encouraged, my friend.   Better days are coming.  Victory is on the way.  Triumph is  just down the road...

...someday, He's going to return,  just like He said He would.  And there will be no more pain.  There will be no  more hardships and struggles...

...there will be no more dark and gloomy days.

Christian, what are you facing today?  Does it seem like things couldn't get much worse?  Is your world being
rocked?  If it is, fret not, Friday may be dark and gloomy...

...but Sunday is coming!

Have a "Wonderful DAY in Christ,"
