EARS THAT HEAR - EYES THAT SEE

"He that hath ears, let him hear what
the Spirit saith..." -  Revelation 2:7a

I had the two most amazing emails today in response to my devotionals.   They both blessed my heart in a very special way, and I felt compelled to write this devotional and share it with you.

The first email that I received was from a Christian woman who was severely beaten by her ex-husband.  She told me of how he had beaten her with the back of an axe.  She was left deaf because of the physical abuse.  She only recently became a Christian and, as her email stated, "I may be DEAF but I CAN HEAR the word of God!"  That really blessed me heart.

The second email was from a woman who told me that Jesus was her best friend too. (in response to the devotional about Jesus being my best friend).   What was amazing about her email is that she told me she is blind.  As she put it, "being physically blind since birth, I am anticipating that glorious day when I really shall see Jesus face to face."  Judging from her email, she may not be able to see Him face to face...but she can see Jesus!"

These two women have really blessed my heart and I marvel again at the grace of God.  I think about all of the lost who are able to hear, but do not hear the Word of God.  I think about all of those who have eyes that are in perfect working order, but do not see Jesus.  The Pharisees stood right before the Son of God, but they never saw Him!  There were many who listened to His sermons, but never heard Him!

Oh, that we Christians would have ears that could hear what the Spirit of the Lord is saying to us.  Oh, that we would have eyes that see Christ Jesus ever so clearly.

Christian, are you listening to the Lord today?  Do you desire to hear what He is saying to you? Are you seeking His face this morning?  Can you see Jesus?

Father in Heaven, give us the spiritual ears of the woman who can hear you, though deaf.  Give us the spiritual eyes of the woman who can see you, though blind.

Have a "Wonderful DAY in Christ,"
