TECHNICAL SUPPORT

"Therefore if any man be in Christ,
he is a new creature: old things are passed away;
behold, all things are become new."
- II Corinthians 5:17

When it happens, there is only one solution.  Only one thing to do...

...call technical support!

I have been having an absolutely miserable time as of late on the internet.  My telephone access to the internet continues to kick me off unexpectedly by disconnecting. (Which is why your devotionals are sometimes late in arriving!)

But, that's not the worst of it.  Late last night my business website went down.  Completely crashed the most important portion of it.  Now, this is important to me, because it's how I make my living!

When anyone tries to access the website they receive this error...

..."Internal Server Error. The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request. Please contact the server administrator, webmaster@profitsvault.com and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error."

And what is my solution to the problem...

...call technical support!

And they are working to correct the problems, even as we speak.

Now, this was like deja vu for me this morning, because my mind flashed back to a similar scene that played out in my life back in the summer of 1984.  And, if you're a Christian, it has happened to you, as well.

You see, before we came to Christ, when we were lost, we had an "Internal Error."  Yep, there was a problem inside of us and it was that old sinful nature.  We were "misconfigured" ,if you want to call it that, by Adam and the sin nature was passed on to us.  We were born into sin and before we came to know Jesus, we had this "internal error."

Now, I remember that Wednesday night in 1984 at church camp when I heard the message loud and clear...

 ...call technical support!

You see, that's all seeking forgiveness is, calling upon God's technical support.  You see, Jesus is the only one who can "fix" our glitch.  He is the only one who can solve our sin problem.  He is the only one who can correct our "internal error."

And just like that error message you receive if you try to access my website, it's a similar process in asking the Lord to forgive you...

..."Please contact the server administrator." First things first, we've got to pray.  We've got to contact Jesus, get in touch with the one who can make the change.

..."Inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error."  Then, we've got to tell Him what the problem is.  In other words, we've got to confess "anything you might have done to cause the error."  We confess we are sinners, name them and turn from them.

And Jesus IMMEDIATELY corrects the problem...

..."Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new." - II Corinthians 5:17

Perhaps this morning you know of someone who has never accepted Jesus Christ as their Savior and Lord, and they're still walking around with an "internal error."  Pass this word on to them.  Tell them about the "technical support" found in the Lord - about His free offer of forgiveness.

Or, maybe this morning YOU have been to the Master Programmer and He has changed you, but you've picked up a sin recently that hasn't been confessed.  That's an "internal error" you know.  And it needs to be fixed.

When it happens, there is only one solution.  Only one thing to do...

...call technical support!
