My mom has been having some test ran and today she found out that she needs to have a biopsy done.  This is scheduled for Friday.  Please keep her in your prayers during this week.   

I wrote today's devotional as a poem to her.  Maybe it will minister to you as well as you face a difficult and uncertain time in your life.  Feel free to pass it on to someone you know who is in the midst of a similar testing of their faith.

On one hand you feel the earth shake and your knees begin to knock,
But on the other hand you are standing on Christ the solid Rock.

On one hand your whole world seems to be falling apart,
But on the other hand  "Peace, be still" is whispered to your heart.

On one hand it seems you face this battle by yourself  all alone,
But on the other hand Jesus' promise is forever etched in stone.

On one hand you're scared and it seems you're about to bust,
But on the other hand you know, "In God alone I trust."

On one hand it's a trial and a hardship you can't ignore,
But on the other hand it's a chance to share your faith in the Lord.

On one hand you feel like crying and the worry you can't hide,
But on the other hand you feel His strength and His peace deep inside.

On one hand you just don't know where to turn or what to do,
But on the other hand you know to run to the One who gave His life for you.

On one hand the waiting and the wondering is almost too much to bear,
But on the other hand the Savior always brings you hope in your despair.

And so I would remind you that on one hand things may be difficult that's true,
But on the other hand is a Father's love that is reaching out to you.

Take hold of Jesus as you face uncertain days.
He's already taken hold of you.
