PASS IT ON

"And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world,
and preach the gospel to every creature."
- Mark 16:15

Kids are funny, amen?  In their innocence, they just say and do things that are, well, funny.  My little nephew CJ came home from school one day and announced to his mother (my sister), who has freckles, "Mom, this girl at school has polk dots on her face just like you do."  Then, there was the time that he told his grandmother (my mom), "I wish that I had known Uncle Jimmy when he was a boy so we could have played together."

Then, there's Nick.  Nick is a young man who comes in during lunch at school to participate in a prayer group.  They use my wife's room (she teaches) and she has to be in the room at all times.  She cannot actually participate in the prayer meeting, but sits quietly at her desk and listens in, and prays herself.  Nick prays to God just like he's talking to Him (that's the way we all should pray!).  One day he prayed, "God, I've got a lot of problems that I need to pray about.  Well, you know as much about my problems as I do."  Then, there was the time he prayed, "God, thank you for keeping our basketball team safe during last week's game.  And by the way, who won that game, God?"

I love kids.  I just love listening to them, and I love watching them play games.  They are so animated.  I noticed a group of them playing not too long ago.  They were playing a game that we used to play when we were children.  It's called "pass it on."  They played it while standing in the lunch line at school.  Someone at the front of the line turned to the person next to them and whispered, "Psssst.  Brad loves Kim.  Pass it on!"  Then, that person turned  to the next person in line and repeated, "Psssst.  Brad loves Kim.  Pass it on!"  The cycle continued until everyone in the line heard the message.

It reminded me that the Bible gives us a message that we are to pass on to others.  Mark 16:15 says, "And He (Jesus) said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature."  We are to pass on the Good News of Jesus Christ.  And just like the children's game, it is supposed to continue until everyone has heard the message.

What about it, Christian?  Are you sharing the message?  Are you telling others about the saving blood of Jesus Christ?  Will you tell someone about the Savior today?

"Psssst.  Jesus Saves.  Pass it on!"

Have a "Wonderful DAY in Christ,"
