Happy 4th of July to all those in the USA.  Today we celebrate "Independence" Day.  It's a time to reflect upon all the freedoms and liberties God has given our country.

Perhaps it is also a time to thank God for the freedom from sin given to us in Jesus Christ.

We are free, Christian, from the grip that sin had upon us.  Free from its penalty, and free from its bond.

Thank God for our independence!

"Regular" devotionals will resume tomorrow. 

Until then, celebrate your freedom. 

And remember to thank the One who is responsible for our real freedom from the chains of sin.
