December 27,
1999 -- Issue #73 "In
whom we have redemption through his blood, Wonderful
Life Subscribers: By
now, most people have either watched or heard about the
incredibly popular game show hosted by Regis Philbin.
"Who Wants To Be A Millionaire" has been a
huge success for ABC.
It continues to garner the top spots in the
television ratings. Now,
I don't watch the game show, but I understand that it is
played something like this: One
contestant at a time sits across from Regis and is asked a
series of questions. After each question, Regis asks
"Is that your final answer?"
Each question answered correctly increases the amount
of money earned.
If the contestant answers all of the questions
correctly, then they win one million dollars.
They have the option of quitting at any time during
the game and taking the money they have already earned.
It
amazes me how many people are seemingly spellbound by this
show.
They are drawn to the lure of winning the one million
dollars, knowing that THEIR chances of appearing on the show
are about one in five billion, and THEIR chances of winning
the money is even smaller.
Very,
very few receive the riches. I'm
here to tell you there's an easier way.
You see, instead of answering a series of questions
correctly to become rich, you really need to answer but one
question.
And the great thing about it is, EVERYONE can
participate...and ALL who answer the simple yes or no
question correctly become instantly rich. Oh,
you are interested in learning what that simple question is?
Here it is.... ..."Will
you repent of your sins and accept Jesus Christ as Lord and
Savior of your life?" If
you answer "Yes," then you are an instant
millionaire.
Millionaire?
Yes, millionaire.
Actually it's quite a bit more than that.
You see, you can't really put a price tag on eternal
life.
It's priceless, and yet the correct answer to one
simple question secures the prize.
Sadly,
very, very few receive the riches found in Christ Jesus. But,
today, right now, you have a choice to make.
You are a contestant in the game of your life.
Regis isn't asking this question to you, the Lord
Jesus Christ is... ..."Who
wants to be a millionaire?" Is that your final answer? Have a "Wonderful DAY in Christ,"Jimmy D. Brown \o/ Praise Jesus! |
