when Jesus head that, He said unto them, I wish I knew the answer. Every time I get an email from someone telling about a little boy battling cancer I just wish I knew the answer. I wish I had the cure that would make it go away. Oh, how I would rush to tell those grieving parents about it! I wouldn't waste a second getting the information to them. Nothing would stop me from sharing what I knew. And what about AIDS? If I just knew the answer, if I just had the cure, I would shout it from the mountaintops! I would tell every afflicted person exactly how to remedy their problem. I wouldn't hold back until I told them all. If I just knew the answer, if I just knew the cure to disease. I'd go door to door and tell every person who has parkinson's disease and leukemia and muscular dystrophy. I'd knock on those doors until my knuckles bled. I'd do my best to make sure that no one suffered needlessly. There would never be another person suffer with alzheimer's or multiple sclerosis or birth defects, if I just knew the answer, if I just knew the cure. I'd walk up to people and ask them if they were afflicted, just to make sure they were healthy...because if they weren't, I had the cure for them. I'd be so excited about what I knew I wouldn't be able to keep my big mouth shut. If I just knew the answer, if I just knew the cure, I'd tell them all. Wouldn't you? Friends, I don't have the answer or the cure to those horrible diseases. I really wish I did. But, you know what? I do know the cure for heart disease...spiritual heart disease, that is. The answer, the cure, is Jesus Christ. You and I have the cure for those who are battling the sickness of sin. Shouldn't we rush to tell them about what will make it go away?! Shouldn't we be going door to door, knocking until our knuckles bleed, that others might not suffer in hell needlessly? Why, we should shout it from the mountaintops! We should walk right up to people and ask them about their condition...do you know Jesus? Have you been healed? We ought to be so excited about the good news of our Lord that we just can't keep our mouths closed. We'd tell them about a cure for cancer, wouldn't we? Alzheimer's disease? Leukemia? We'd tell them about cure for AIDS. How much more should we tell them about the eternal cure for sin. There are people who we will see today who are sick in sin. They are going to die and spend eternity in hell if they are not healed by the blood of Jesus Christ. Who will tell them about the Great Physician? I know the answer. I know the cure. I'll tell them all. Will you?Have a "Wonderful DAY in Christ," Jimmy D. Brown \o/ Praise Jesus! |
